The whole proposal lifecycle

Send, sign, store — without the email back-and-forth

Every pain below is one we hear from contractors juggling Word docs, PDFs, and DocuSign. Each maps to a specific Breche feature.

The pain

Word docs and email PDFs lose track of who signed what version.

What Breche does

Each proposal is its own record with a permanent signing URL. Every signer's name, email, IP, signature image, and timestamp lands in the audit trail. The signed PDF is a snapshot of the proposal at signing time — you can prove what was agreed to, even if the project's editable records change later.

The pain

Customers want to sign on their phone, not print + scan + email back.

What Breche does

The /proposals/<token> route is mobile-first — any device, any browser, no app, no account. Customers draw a signature with a finger or type it, check the ESIGN consent box, and submit. Average sign-time on phones is under 90 seconds.

The pain

Proposals are just a price — they don't show your work or build trust.

What Breche does

Modular sections let you tell the whole story: a Cover Page with project photo + prepared-for/by, a Scope of Work narrative, the line-item Estimate, the Signature block, and Terms & Conditions. Each section toggles on or off so a quick service-call proposal isn't padded with HOA-board boilerplate.

The pain

Multiple owners need to sign, but only one ever does.

What Breche does

Sequential multi-signer is built in. List each required signer (owner, spouse, project manager, board member) — each gets a unique signing link by email. The system auto-emails the next signer once the previous one completes. Nothing is approved until every required signature is in.

The pain

Customer asks 'which proposal version are we agreeing to?'

What Breche does

Each proposal has a single canonical signing URL. Edits before sending are versioned in the activity log. After signing, the proposal is locked — change orders extend the contract with their own signing flow, so the original agreement remains intact and provable.

The pain

Signed proposals get lost in email when you need them six months later for a change order.

What Breche does

Every signed PDF is stored on the proposal record + delivered to the customer's portal Documents tab. The project's activity log tracks the full lifecycle (sent, viewed, signed by each signer). Six months later you open the project, click the proposal, and download the legally-binding PDF in one click.

Features

Built for contractors, not generic e-signature

Modular sections

Cover Page, Scope of Work, Estimate, Signature, Terms & Conditions. Add, remove, and reorder per proposal so a service-call quote isn't padded with commercial-bid boilerplate.

Cover page builder

Pick a hero photo from the project's photo library, set proposal title + subtitle, customize prepared-for / prepared-by cards. Customers see your branding before they see the price.

Embedded estimate

The proposal embeds the approved estimate's line items, sections, and totals. One source of truth — edits to the estimate flow through to the proposal automatically until signed.

Sequential multi-signer

Owner + spouse + project manager + HOA board member sign in order. Each signer gets a unique link. Auto-email the next signer when the previous completes.

ESIGN-compliant audit trail

Every signature captures full name, email, IP address, signature image, consent checkbox, and timestamp. ESIGN Act + UETA compliant. The audit trail is rendered into the signed PDF.

Mobile signing — no account

/proposals/<token> opens on any device. Draw with a finger, type a signature, or both. No portal login, no app install. Customers sign in under 90 seconds on a phone.

Auto-generated signed PDF

Once every signer completes, Breche generates the signed PDF with all signatures, names, dates, IPs, and the proposal content snapshot. Stored on the proposal + delivered to the customer's Documents tab.

Customer portal pending actions

Portal customers see unsigned proposals at the top of their dashboard alongside unpaid invoices. One-click Review & Sign. Eliminates the 'check your email' loop that delays approvals.

FAQ

Proposals FAQ

Common questions about Breche's proposal builder + signing flow.

Proposals are built from modular sections: Cover Page (project photo + prepared-for/by), Scope of Work (rich-text narrative), the embedded approved Estimate (the actual line items + price), the Signature block, and Terms & Conditions. Add or remove sections per proposal. Cover pages support a hero photo from the project's photo library plus an optional subtitle.
