Time Tracking

Clock in/out, pay periods, overtime rules, break classification, and PTO policies.

Clocking In and Out

Field crews clock in and out from the Breche mobile app (install guide). Web users with the Field role can also clock in from the in-app time clock. Each clock event captures the user, project (if assigned), timestamp, and GPS location for accountability.

Breaks

The mobile app lets crews start a lunch or other break mid-shift. How those breaks affect billable hours is configured under Settings → Company → Time Tracking: each break type is marked paid (counts as worked time) or unpaid (deducted from the shift at clock-out).

Pay Period and Overtime

Set your pay period under Settings → Company → Time Tracking: weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly. Set the start day of the week for weekly and bi-weekly cycles. Enable daily overtime (e.g. hours over 8 per day) and/or weekly overtime (e.g. hours over 40 per week) with custom multipliers.

PTO Policies

Define the PTO types your company uses (vacation, sick, personal, unpaid leave) on the same settings page. Mark each as paid or unpaid and set an optional starter balance for new employees.

Pay Period Review

The Pay Period Review page totals each employee's regular, daily-OT, weekly-OT, and PTO hours for the current period. Use this for payroll exports. Manual Log Time entries (for after-the-fact corrections) appear in the same total.
