Custom Forms

Build reusable forms and checklists — safety checks, punch lists, site surveys — fill them in the field or via a public link, and convert them to estimates.

Two Kinds of Forms

Breche supports two form types: a native form you build field-by-field inside the app, and a PDF overlay where you upload an existing PDF and drop fields onto it. Use native forms for checklists and surveys; use PDF overlays for standard documents you already print.

Creating Templates

Manage form templates under Settings → Forms. Add fields (text, numbers, checkboxes, line items, signatures), mark whether a signature is required, and choose whether the form can be filled from an external link.

Filling a Form

Inside a project, open the Forms tab and pick a template to fill. Your team fills it in the app; if you enabled external access, share a public link so a client or inspector can complete it without logging in. Submissions move draft → submitted → signed.

Convert to an Estimate

If a form captures line items (say, a site-survey takeoff), click Convert to Estimate to carry those items straight into a new estimate — no re-typing.

PDFs & Storage

Every submission can be printed to PDF and is stored with the project's documents, with a snapshot of the template as it was when filled — so old submissions never change if you later edit the template.
